Our work focuses on improving the quality of water flowing into the Swan and Helena Rivers, while supporting the health and resilience of our bushland, ecosystems, and local wildlife.
At the heart of the program is a network of passionate volunteer Catchment Groups and Friends of Groups who work tirelessly to care for local waterways, protect native habitats, and strengthen community connections to the land.

Our Vision
We envision healthy, connected, and resilient communities, ecosystems, species, and waterways in the eastern sub-region. By working together with volunteers, local residents, and partner organisations, we aim to ensure future generations can enjoy thriving landscapes and clean waterways.

How We Work
The Eastern Region Landcare Program (ERLP) supports and empowers local groups through:
- Practical on-ground projects to restore habitats and reduce pollution entering waterways.
- Community events that inspire environmental stewardship and knowledge sharing.
- Partnerships with local councils, schools, and environmental organisations.
- Ongoing support for volunteer training, resources, and networking opportunities.
